Poured by hand in Grand Island, New York with 100% soy wax derived from American-grown soy beans. South Bridge is a 15oz double wick candle with no added dyes or chemicals in 17oz amber glass vessel, scented with essential oils and premium grade fragrance. Two lead-free cotton wicks results in 60+ hours of eco-friendly, clean burning candle. South Bridge is a fresh, woodsy fragrance with an intriguing nautical edge. This candle offers a unique take on a lavender scent, marrying this timeless floral with more masculine notes of cypress, cedar, and amber.

Directions:

Always trim wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting (we suggest using a wick trimmer). The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling.

Candle Safety:

Follow the 2 foot rule - don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface (candle coasters work great). Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the container.

Joshua Thomas

founder

Joshua Thomas is an artist and designer who founded Grand island Candle Company in 2020, perfecting the craft of candle making while self-isolating during the pandemic. Josh hails from Western Montana and earned a Masters of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design before moving to Western New York to be closer to family.

Josh is inspired by nature, travel, and design, but most of all he is inspired by Western New York; the people, places, smells and attitude that make Western New York so uniquely special.

Each candle is made by Josh at the Grand Island Candle Company studio in Grand Island, New York in small batches using only the best and most eco-friendly materials.
